Puppy socialization plays a significant role in how your puppy takes on the world in the ways they interact with other animals and people.

Do you also offer private behaviour counselling and training?

We offer private behaviour counselling at Fairview Animal Hospital which involves scheduling an appointment with one of our doctors. However, we do not have the facilities to do training at the Fairview clinic.

When should my puppy start school?

Puppies can start puppy classes as early as 8 -12 weeks of age depending on where you decide to take them. Each school has their own requirements for vaccines such as Bordetella or deworming before starting classes, so it is best to check with the given location.

Where do you offer socialization classes?

They are many places in Halifax that offer socialization classes. We do have a list of recommendations needed, and we strongly advocate positive reinforcement training.

Do classes take dogs from puppyhood to advanced obedience?

Yes, many places offer different forms of training from puppyhood to adult training.
